Probiotics And Innate Immunity

As the mucosal tissues of the mouth and the gut wall comprise some of the most important barriers involved in innate immunity, then its fascinating to learn that the tiny residents of these areas can significantly influence the integrity of our immune function1. As previously mentioned, at least 70% of our immune cells are located in the gut, housed in structures buried in the delicate hair-like villi which cover the intestinal wall.
