This first up, a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, and perfect example of why you shouldnt expect improvement taking whatever probiotic species willy-nilly.

The study found that infants taking L. rhamnosus had a reduced risk of developing eczema compared to the placebo control after two years. However, the same was not found with using Bifidobacterium animalis. In fact, B. animalis had no effect on eczema at all.
